 Ian moved to Portsmouth from England in 2002 with his wife, Emma, and four children. Ian and Emma met at art school in London. They were married in 1985. After several years of working in graphic design, Ian trained at Spurgeon's Bible College and was sent by his church in Biggin Hill, Kent, to lead a Newfrontiers church in a neighboring town. He was the pastor there for 12 years before moving to the United States to lead a new church starting in Portsmouth.
Ian is the full-time leader of the eldership team that serves harbor church. He is primarily involved in preaching, training others, and helping other Newfrontiers churches in the region. Ian and Emma enjoy the art scene in Portsmouth, where Emma is becoming established as an artist. Ian enjoys good coffee and wine. He likes to fish, but he's not as fanatical as Shayne.
