Harbor church exists for the glory of God. We are a group of people who don't have it all together but who, by the power of Jesus Christ, are living God's way. We love God and do what we can in the Seacoast to love our neighbors by blessing the city and serving the poor. Glad you've visited our site. You can learn a lot from this website, but the best way to learn about us is to join us on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm at the North Church building in Market Square, Portsmouth, NH.

What should I wear?
Whatever you normally wear. We are more concerned with getting to know you than with what you wear. At Harbor you'll see nearly every style of clothing. Just don't wear a tie unless you want us to know you're a visitor!

What happens at a Sunday meeting?
On most Sundays, we will have about 45 minutes of modern, relevant worship during which time you can feel free to stand, sit or dance around.  It's a powerful worship experience led by local musicians - not just a show but a God-encounter!  After that we have a 15 minute break when parents can take their kids to our KIDMO program and so that everyone else can visit. Afterward, someone from our leadership team will bring a relevant message from the bible. There is always an opportunity to receive prayer for any situation.  Once a month after the service, we also have a time at our office, the Underground, where you can grab a snack, some coffee and get to know other people in the church

Am I expected to give money?
It is important to us that guests do not feel pressured to give anything.  What's of primary importance to us is that you connect with Jesus.  All of our giving is in response to him and part of our worship.

What about my kids?
We use a pumping-hot children's curriculum called KIDMO. The kids have just been loving it. Our kids work is located in our basement offices on 40 Pleasant Street, just on the next block!  During the break, you'll have time to walk with your children to the offices to check them in and see for yourself how KIDMO works. What is Newfrontiers?
Harbor is joined with a worldwide family of churches called Newfrontiers. We feel God has connected our hearts together in mission, relationship, and shared values. Through our relationship with Newfrontiers, we benefit from apostolic input and other ministries listed in Ephesians 4 (namely prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers - who travel amongst the churches).
